A Map Of The Universe

This map uses graphic leaps of scales to show how our solar system fits within the vastness of the. This map shows many of the superclusters within 1 billion light years of us. Works with google maps api.

The universe has been partially mapped out to about 2 billion light years.

The detailed new map will help astronomers piece together a murky period of the universe's expansion known as the gap. we know both the ancient history of the universe and its recent expansion. They surveyed a slice of sky, 117 long and 6 wide, of constant declination. The instrument is funded by the us department.
